Role Purpose:
Provide project management and design coordination expertise to support the successful planning, development, and delivery of projects across early stages (RIBA 1–4), with a focus on practical, safety-led design solutions.
The role combines technical design input (civil/structural bias) with project management responsibilities to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, with risks managed, stakeholders aligned, and outputs compliant with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage a portfolio of concurrent minor works projects from initial brief through feasibility, design, and pre-construction stages (RIBA 1–4).
- Lead the development of site layouts, logistics strategies, and access arrangements, ensuring practical and buildable solutions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, surveyors, and external consultants.
- Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring timely delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Implement effective risk management and change control processes across all projects.
- Lead design coordination activities, ensuring outputs are integrated, efficient, and aligned with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support cost planning, budget tracking, and financial governance across assigned projects.
- Lead design coordination meetings and facilitate stakeholder reviews and approvals.
- Ensure all project documentation is maintained, including reports, design records, and approvals.
- Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure consistent delivery standards.
- Support procurement activities and contribute to the appointment of consultants and contractors where required.
- Promote best practice in project delivery, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (typically 5–10 years) in project management within construction, infrastructure, or property environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multiple minor works / refurbishment projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience delivering projects through early design stages (RIBA 1–4).
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in operational or constrained environments (e.g. utilities, public sector, infrastructure) is desirable.
- Awareness of NEC or similar contract frameworks is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Tavel across the UK & Ireland may be required.
